SEVEN President & CEO to Discuss Overcoming Wireless Network Congestion and Signaling Overload at 2012 Wedbush Securities Conference

REDWOOD CITY, California March 6th, 2012 SEVEN® Networks, a provider of innovative mobile solutions that reduce smartphone data traffic on wireless networks today announced that Ross Bott, SEVEN president and CEO, will speak this week at the Wedbush Securities Technology, Media & Telecommunications Conference.

The conference will be held March 7-8 at the Le Parker Meridian Hotel in New York City. Bott is scheduled to present on March 8, and will discuss how traffic optimization solutions like SEVEN Open Channel™ provide an end-to-end solution to help carriers alleviate mounting wireless network congestion and signaling overload caused by smartphone apps.

“We’re beginning to see parallels between what content delivery networks did for the wireline Internet and what traffic optimization can do to save wireless carriers in this so-called mobile data tsunami,” said Bott. “Our Open Channel solution has incredible potential in the way of reducing wireless traffic and wireless signaling and I am honored to have the opportunity to share my insight on this topic with my peers.”

Dr. Bott has been President and CEO of SEVEN since 2006, and has been a member of SEVEN’s board of directors since 2002. Previously, he served as COO of Phone.com (now Openwave Systems), providing infrastructure and application software for wireless carriers and handset OEMs, and as CEO of Onebox.com (San Mateo, California), a leading provider of Web–based communications services, which was acquired by Phone.com in 2001.
