REDWOOD CITY, California October 23rd, 2012 – SEVEN® Networks, a provider of innovative mobile solutions that manage smartphone signaling and data traffic on wireless networks, announced Mark Harris as the company’s new chief financial officer, reporting to Ross Bott, president and CEO at SEVEN.
In this position, Harris will be responsible for the overall financial direction of the company, providing operational and programmatic support for all strategic and tactical financial matters within the company as well as supervising the finance unit. Harris brings more than 25 years of international financial experience with public and private companies and has a proven track record of value creation by analyzing detailed business operations to deliver cost-effective efficiencies and enable high growth.
SEVEN is known for Open Channel™, an end-to-end mobile traffic management solution that gives mobile carriers visibility into application traffic directly on the device allowing them to avoid signaling storms before they even reach the network. Open Channel can cut network access requests by up to 40 percent without affecting the user experience by eliminating unnecessary and redundant network traffic caused by chatty mobile apps that oftentimes request network connections when no updates are available.

Prior to joining SEVEN, Harris served as chief financial officer at Nimsoft, where he played a key role in growing bookings by more than 700% while the company delivered six successive quarters of positive cash flow. Harris has held various CFO and financial management positions in telecoms and banking where his focus has been on the improvement of corporate disciplines, reporting processes and practices.
Harris holds a BSc Hons in Mathematics from the University of Leicester, England, and is qualified as a chartered accountant of England and Wales.
