SEVEN Networks' New Open Channel Smartphone Data Optimization Technology Highlights Company's Mobile World Congress Activities

CTO Michael Luna to Speak on Panel Addressing Network Data Congestion

REDWOOD CITY, California – February 8th, 2011 – SEVEN® Networks, a provider of Real Life, Real Time™ mobile solutions, today announced that its presence at Mobile World Congress (Booth AV31) will be highlighted by the first public demonstration of its Open Channel™ breakthrough mobile traffic optimization solution. Open Channel™ reduces the data consumption of smartphones and other mobile devices by up to 70 percent, cutting network congestion and signaling and extending device battery life.

CTO Michael Luna will speak on the "Network Breaking Point" panel on Tuesday, February 15 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in Hall 5, Room 6. He will join fellow industry visionaries from, among others, Vodafone, Alcatel-Lucent, MobiTV and Sprint, to discuss issues surrounding data congestion and the capacity crunch that has resulted from the explosion of smartphones and other mobile device use. SEVEN has developed unique solutions that address these issues and will be demonstrating them in their Mobile World Congress booth.

Other booth activities include a preview of Ping®, a new Android app that takes SEVEN Mobile Applications and other mobile messaging tools to a new level of usability and convenience that is specifically designed for a Real Life, Real Time mobile experience and will significantly increase consumers' engagement with devices and services. The company will also hold a sweepstakes for a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet computer.

SEVEN and RCR Wireless will be co-hosting a reception for customers at SEVEN's Booth AV31, conveniently located on the main avenue, Tuesday evening, February 15 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
