SEVEN Reports a Full Year of Profitability as Company's User Base Continues to Grow Faster than Market

REDWOOD CITY, California – January 25, 2010 – SEVEN®, the global leader in push-enabled mobile email and messaging solutions for mass market devices, today reported that it achieved a full year of profitability in 2009 as the company continued an aggressive roll out of its services to operators and device manufacturers across the globe. In one of the toughest years ever for most businesses, SEVEN grew its user base by 70% - more than seven million accounts are now actively synchronized on mobile devices using SEVEN. The company continued to expand its mobile application footprint beyond its flagship push email application, launching a variety of solutions including push-enabled instant messaging, personal calendar and corporate intranet access.

"2009 was a significant growth year for SEVEN, with our value-added push-enabled messaging services being a true catalyst to this growth," said Ross Bott, CEO and president of SEVEN. “In the past year, we've made significant strides in expanding our messaging platform, positioning us ahead of the competition on a global front. Our push email is now in production around the world in 14 languages and 70 countries enabling operators with properties stretching across multiple countries and continents to easily and cost-effectively deploy the same solution across their entire customer bases."

In 2009, SEVEN push email was also launched on Android, making it one of the first vendors to provide a comprehensive application on an Android device with real-time access to any global or local email service, including corporate email solutions such as Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino.

In addition to Android, SEVEN certified 100 more devices worldwide across six operating systems, including BREW, Java, Symbian, and Windows Mobile. The addition of these new devices – ranging from the Nokia N97, Nokia 5800 and Sony Ericsson T715 at Hutchison 3; the Samsung Finesse in the US; the Samsung Jet in Europe; and the Toshiba T-01A at NTT DOCOMO and Telefonica – brings the number of models supported by SEVEN to more than 550.

SEVEN is able to support, with one solution, multiple messaging services, operating systems and device platforms. For the majority of supported devices, SEVEN is fully embedded with a choice of global and local email services already pre-configured, increasing the value of operator data plans and accelerating user adoption. These capabilities have positioned SEVEN to be ahead of the game in the race for more integrated devices with better messaging and social networking services.

Bott continued, "We believe that our two-pronged approach to the market – in working with both operators and device manufacturers from early-stage development through deployment – has been a contributing factor to our growth."

"We expect 2010 to be another milestone year for SEVEN," added Bott. "There are several more product launches on the horizon that we believe will further drive user adoption, while helping operators better manage the costs of service and data delivery."
